Upcoming Juneteenth Programs for Families from Book Voyagers

These events are part of a special initiative to broaden the reach of CTH’s Book Voyagers programs to uplift all voices.

JUNETEENTH Family Concerts with Connecticut State Troubadour Nekita Waller!

Come Celebrate Juneteenth 2022 with Nekita Waller, the 17th State Troubadour. Nekita captivates audiences of all ages and will sing songs of freedom and hope that will inspire you to move.

Enjoy good music and good family fun with the kids. It’s a time of jubilee!

The UmoJamz JUNETEENTH Author Event at the Middletown Farmers Market!

Join the Russell Library for an outdoor storytime at the Middletown Farmers Market at the Union Green! Come and meet the authors of the wonderful UmoJamz book series and enjoy a special Juneteenth storytime presented by Mx Chalk. Learn more about the UmoJamz here.

This event will take place at the Middletown Farmers Market, so participants are welcome to bring chairs and blankets, since we will be setting up on the grass for storytime!

For all ages. Families welcome!
