The Poetry Bus

The Poetry Bus was inspired by a desire to empower young writers by sharing their words with the greater community in public spaces and to connect transit + poetry.

The bus displays excerpts of students’ poetry written in Melanie Faranello’s creative writing classes, “Hartford Young Writers” and “Word Up for Teens,” at Charter Oak Cultural Center Youth Arts Institute.
