The David M. Hunt Library serves the community of Falls Village, CT and surrounding towns. Established in 1891 the D. M. Hunt celebrated its 125th year in 2016. The library offers a wide variety of books, audio books, dvds, and periodicals to its patrons as well as public computers, WiFi, printing and scanning, a beautiful quiet space upstairs and the Connecticut Room local history collection. Popular library programming includes a children’s story hour at 10:30 am on Tuesdays and Thursdays, a monthly book sale held on the 1st Saturday of every month, and a knitting group that meets from 6:00-8:00 pm on the first and third Wednesdays of the month. Also popular is the library’s Art Wall which showcases the work of local artists with exhibits that change every 6 weeks. In honor of the library’s 125th anniversary, the library produced their own children’s book , ” A Library for Nellie Grace”. A product of local talents, Nellie Grace chronicles the history of the library through the eyes of a young patron.
