Barbara Hawes is our CT Author’s Trail author for 2024!

Barbara’s first novel is Between the Rocks. Leena, married with children, finds her high school sweetheart after twenty years. At the same time, she saves a young woman from a suicide attempt, and takes her in which complicates her life even further. Her second novel is Hawk Dove Ridge. Gem, twenty-two, moves west to Oklahoma to join her boyfriend, James, who lives in a religious community. One event changes Gem’s life irrevocably, and she is faced with some life-or-death decisions.

Barbara also wrote and illustrated a children’s book called What’s That? What is That Animal in the Yard? She also designed and created the covers for her two novels.

Barbara Hawes resides in Waterford. She majored in art and graphic design in college. She worked for many years in the commercial real estate field.
