Strecker, Susan

I offer stand-alone or ongoing writing and editing workshops. Topics include: writing coaching for groups, the seven elements every novel needs to be successful, pivotal conflicts and increasing the tension, writing with our demons: writing about what we know, the art of querying the literary agent, self-publishing versus traditional publishing, overcoming writers’ block (bad writing is better than no writing) and any custom workshop that is in demand.

I am an award-winning novelist, editor and writing coach. My debut novel, Night Blindness, was sold at auction to Thomas Dunne Books and was an IndieNext Pick. My second novel, Nowhere Girl, won the 2016 Beverly Hills Books Award and was a finalist for the Chanticleer Book Review Award. It was coined “compulsively readable” by Kirkus Reviews.

I lecture and teach all over the country at conferences, universities, high schools and middle schools.
