Alice Plouchard Stelzer’s love of women’s history brought about six years of research into the lives of a dozen of the first Puritan women to arrive in Massachusetts and Connecticut. This research was culminated into Female Adventurers. She felt these courageous first generation New England women’s stories should be told.
