Claps, Robert

Robert Claps lives in East Hampton, CT with his wife and rescue dogs.  A native of Wallingford, and a father of three children, he is retired after a thirty year career as a software developer for a large Hartford-based insurance company.  His poems have appeared in national journals such as Image: a Journal of Arts and Religion, the Paterson Literary Review, Margie, Tar River Poetry, Grey’s Sporting Journal, The Hollins Critic, The Louisville Review, and The MacGuffin, among others.  The Connecticut River Review nominated his poem Jump Shots at Sixty for a Pushcart Prize.

His first book Casting, from Antrim House Books, is now available.
