Brian Clements is the author of several collections of poems, most recently A Book of Common Rituals (Quale Press, 2014). He is Professor and Chair of Writing and Literature at Western Connecticut State University, where he was Founding Coordinator of the Master of Fine Arts in Creative and Professional Writing. He was Founding Editor of the influential literary journal Sentence: A Journal of Prose Poetics, and he co-edited the anthologies An Introduction to the Prose Poem and Bullets into Bells: Poets & Citizens Respond to Gun Violence. He is a member of the Advisory Board for the Sunken Garden Poetry Festival and lives in Danbury.
