Stay tuned this fall for Book/Mark This!, a celebra­tion of Connecti­cut Grown literary activities scheduled throughout Hartford. The Connecticut Cen­ter for the Book a program of CT Humanities, and its partners at the Connecticut Office of the Arts, Barnes & Noble, Hartford Public Li­brary, University of Connecticut, and many others, are delighted to bring you the following:


August 8 Launch of the Literary Trail mobile app tour – part of the suite of thematic tours offered through CT Humanities’ ConnTours app.
September 20 (Rain date: September 27) Books on Pratt, organized by Barnes & Noble UConn Hartford and is a day-long opportunity to speak with Connecticut-based authors.
September – October Book Plates exhibit, a showcase of the best of the collection of book plates held by the University of Connecticut’s Archives & Special Collections.
September & October Hartford Public Library is participating in the Big Read with their selection of Advice from the Lights by Stephen Burt.
September – June – Third Thursdays The Connecticut State Library resumes its Third Thursday Brown Bag luncheon series starting in September.
October 1 (tentative) READI Talks with the Commissions on the Arts. READI Talks are in-depth conversations with creative professionals held in intimate settings.
October 5 In its inaugural year the Connecticut Literary Festival will bring together readers, writers, thinkers, presses, and literary enthusiasts from every corner of Connecticut
October 16 Unveiling of the first in a series of Connecticut Literary Landmarks starting with the Mark Twain House & Museum and The Harriet Beecher Stowe Center.
October 20 2019 Connecticut Book Awards at Hartford Public Library!
October 2019 – June 2020 CT Author Speaker’s Bureau – Meet 2019 CT Book Award finalists and winners!
