Leslie Bulion mines her background in science to inform her award-winning middle-grade novels and gruesomely funny science poetry. A former school social worker with a graduate degree in oceanography, Leslie has written and edited for the education market, national magazines and the internet. She gives presentations to students, educators and writers worldwide.
Leslie’s books have been honored by Bank Street College, the Children’s Africana Book Award, NCTE, ABC, NSTA, Parents’ Choice, state reading lists and New Voices in Children’s Literature, CT’s Tassy Walden Award.
