As a non-profit organization our purpose and passion is to tell Connecticut stories. We celebrate authors and the tales they weave that connect us to our state’s rich literary heritage and beyond. We also promote the vital role of libraries, reading and critical thinking to the residents of this state.
We are able to achieve this through the generosity and financial support of our donors and sponsors. Your help provides the resources, materials and skills that drive these efforts and other enrichment programs offered through CT Humanities.
Stay tuned this summer and fall for Book/Mark This! a celebration of storytelling activities – whether in the written or spoken form – that will lead up to the 2019 Connecticut Book Awards. The Connecticut Center for the Book and its partners at the Connecticut Center for the Arts, Connecticut Public, Barnes & Noble, Hartford Public Library, and many others are delighted to bring you the following:
- READI Talks
- Connecticut Literary Festival
- Connecticut’s Literary Landmarks
- ConnTours: a mobile app with a Connecticut Literary Trail
- Barnes & Noble Books on Pratt, a celebration of local authors
- The Big Read at Hartford Public Library
The 2019 Connecticut Book Awards, of course!
