  • OUR MISSION

The mission of the Waterford Public Library is to help the citizens of Waterford to enrich their lives through access to the ideas, information, and entertainment available from books as well as from a variety of other resources.  To this end, the Library provides an array of materials, services and professional assistance, as well as facilities for the support of educational, civic and cultural activities.

    OUR COLLECTION

The library offers a collection of over 100,000 items; exciting programs for all ages; helpful and professional librarians to assist with your questions; public computer and wi-fi access–and more.

    OUR HISTORY

Waterford has had a public library since 1923 when an association was incorporated by a little group of interested people to provide library services for the town. Among those who were active in getting things started were: Miss Nettie Edwards, principal of Jordan School; Mr. V. B. Moody, supervisor of schools; and Mrs. Ellery Allyn.
