National Library Week!
April 10, 2017 • Uncategorized

Did you know? April 9-15 is National Library Week!

How cool is that?

Do you remember your first library card? Your first hardcover book that you proudly checked out on your own? How about the first video cassette, audiobook, video game, or CD that you checked out? That was truly cutting edge 20 years ago, when you still had to RENT that kind of thing from the video store. Well, libraries are SO much more than that now! Libraries are social and creative hubs where people can share their skills or learn new ones. Libraries offer access to the tools, technology and training essential to the economic and cultural lives of their communities.

What can you do to celebrate?

1.  If you don’t have a library card, go sign up for one! They are free and give you access to a whole bunch of resources.

2.  Visit your library.

3.  Help promote your library through social media.
