INTRODUCTION TO SPOKEN WORD
In this session, Versatile will introduce Spoken Word as an art form and highlight the performance elements of spoken word.
Join us on the 4th Saturday of every month at the Stowe Center for Literary Activism for a Spoken Word workshop led by Windsor Poet Laureate Versatile Poetiq. Over five engaging sessions—Intro to Spoken Word, Physical Presence, Voice & Articulation, Interpretation, and Evidence of Understanding—participants will explore the art of Spoken Word through discussion, writing prompts, video analysis, and performance techniques. A free writing journal will be provided.
This is a safe space for creative expression, culminating with Unleashing Your Voice Open Mic Night on August 23, 2025 (admission $5). Come discover your voice and share your story!
Attend all five sessions (Intro to Spoken Word, Physical Presence, Voice & Articulation, Interpretation, and Evidence of Understanding) for $100, plus free admission to the Open Mic Night with a free beverage.
