Summer Food and Books: Cornell Scott (books only)
July 25 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Cornell Scott – Hill Health Center, 400 Columbus Avenue
New Haven, CT 06519 United States
United Way of Greater New Haven, in partnership with the Connecticut Food Bank, New Haven Reads and Read to Grow, is supporting two critical community needs this summer: access to food and access to books.
Kids, teens and their families are often faced with the dilemma of having limited to no access to food once school is out, making summer the toughest time for families relying on school food programs. Summer months can also cause significant learning loss for students who lose achievement gains made during the previous school year.
By increasing access to food and books, we are supporting the most vulnerable children and families so they can have healthy minds and healthy bodies.
Volunteers will help set-up the the book table and distribute books to children who’s families are waiting for the food pantry. Below are the details for the Cornell Scott – Hill Health Center dates.
