An Evening with Poety Patricia Mason-Martin

Friends of the Simsbury Public Library will host poet, Patricia Mason-Martin, on Thursday, September 29 at 7 p.m. in the Friends Program Room. She will share poems from her recently published poetry book, In Venice I Could Sing and her soon-to-be published haiku collection called Is Love So Fickle. Her poetry has been published in several anthologies and magazines including Poets to Come, an anthology celebrating Walt Whitman’s 200th birthday, Fired Up! Creative Expression for Challenging Times, Goddess: Raising Consciousness through Spoken Word, WaterWrites: A Hudson River Anthology, and will be included in the upcoming anthology Connecticut Bards: Poetry Review 2022.  Ms. Mason-Martin started her career at a major independent television station in New York City, worked in communications and public relations, and is also the author of six nonfiction books. She is a communications professional, performer, and was the creator and host of SpeakEasy, a monthly poetry/spoken word series that took place monthly at the Noelke Gallery in Torrington until the COVID pandemic. She is lives in Torrington, CT.
