I am the author of the picture book A Thirst For Home, A Story of Water Across the World Illustrated by Eric Velasquez.(Bloomsbury 2014, Scholastic 2016) It was recognized as a 2015 Notable Social Studies Book by The Children’s Book Council. It is listed by Booklist as a present day immigration story. It is also listed on the Premier’s Summer reading list 2017-present in Australia. A Thirst For Home aligns with common core standards.

My second picture book is The Purple Pail Illustrated by Niki Leonidou (Clavis 4/2022). It will be translated into three languages and has already been released in Dutch with the title, Emmertje op Wereldreis.
