Celebrate with the finalists and winners and hear from Keynote Speaker Beatriz Williams at the 2017 Connecticut Book Awards Ceremony, held at the Mark Twain House and Museum on October 22 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
Connecticut Center for the Book is very pleased to pay tribute to Connecticut’s literary community with the 2017 Connecticut Book Awards. The awards recognize and honor books with specific ties to our state: the author or illustrator must be native-born or have been a legal resident of Connecticut for at least three years, or the book must have a Connecticut setting to be considered. Finalists are listed here.
Connecticut Center for the Book is also very pleased to announce that New York Times best-selling author and Connecticut resident Beatriz Williams will deliver the keynote address at the book awards. Ms. Williams lives with her husband and children in Connecticut and is the author of the Secret Life of Violet Grant, A Hundred Summers, and Overseas.
